Groundwater Pump & Treat

Fixed and mobile groundwater treatment solutions

Fixed NAPL Recovery Systems

Our high specification modular systems range from 1-30m3/hr treatment capabilities specifically designed to address fuel releases into the environment including non-aqueous phase liquids (NAPL). Modular designs allow us to rapidly upscale or downscale the treatment capability should requirements change mid-project.

Our treatment systems include settlement of suspended solids, multi-stage separation through coalescing media, filtration using granular activated carbon, and additional air sparging before or after filtration, can be utilised to further reduce hydrocarbon concentrations in treated water to extend the life of granular activated carbon and reduce the frequency of filter replacement.

Mobile Treatment Solutions

Our mobile treatment solutions can be utilised for rapid mobilisation for spill response, reducing high volume absorbent deployments and costs associated with high volume tanker uplifts. They can also be utilised for pilot testing of groundwater conditions to evaluate LNAPL recovery, hydraulic conductivity, groundwater and abstraction rates.

Pumping Capabilities

We operate and maintain a range of pumping capabilities for the abstraction of contaminated groundwater from boreholes, sumps, wells and surface waters

Capabilities include:

  • Recovery of LNAPL and dissolved phase contaminants using top-loading pneumatic ATEX certified pumps at depths of up to 130 m;

  • Recovery of LNAPL and dissolved phase contaminants from shallow groundwater using surface mounted ATEX certified air-operated double diaphragm (AODD) pumps to depths of up to 7 m;

  • Recovery of LNAPL from sumps, wells and surface water using floating skimmers coupled with ATEX AODD pumps;

  • Recovery of dissolved phase hydrocarbon contaminated water using ATEX certified electric submersible pumps.
