Oracle Environmental Experts was established in 2014 by Dr Jon Burton and Dr Diane Watson with our head office in the Malvern Hills, Worcestershire. Our in-house capabilities and our team grew organically, and we established a team in Belfast in 2018 and opened other regional offices in Hampshire, Cornwall and Brighton in 2019, with a further regional office opened in Pembrokeshire in 2020.

We have over 40 highly skilled technical and engineering staff working from our 6 offices including geologists, hydrogeologists, aquatic ecologists and electrical and mechanical engineers.

Charities & Fundraising

As part of our efforts to obtain regular customer feedback we ask our customers to recommend a charity to donate money to and over the years we have donated to all of the following charities:

Movember

We also encourage staff to join in charity fundraising events and to date we have raised money for men’s mental health and prostate and testicular cancer charity, Movember. We have grown moustaches, cycled, walked and run, all in an effort to raise awareness for the Movember movement!

OEE Charities Month 2023

For this year's OEE Charities Month we challenged our staff to reach their own goals, whether that meant hitting targets or giving up habits! The goals achieved included moving >175km, giving up coffee, 1000 press ups, learning a new song on the guitar and many more. We raised over £500 for the Stars Appeal, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Trust, Mind, Wythall Animal Sanctuary and Dementia UK. Great job team!

Severn Trent Mountain Challenge

We are regular attendees at the Severn Trent Mountain Challenge which is held most years in the Hope Valley in Derbyshire to raise money for Water Aid. Severn Trent Mountain Challenge | Charity Trek | WaterAid UK and most recently took part in July 2023. When we took part in 2019, we also managed to come away with the Vic Cocker trophy for being the team to raise the most sponsorship.

Over the years our MD Jon Burton has taken part in the challenge more than 10 times, and it is an event and a charity that we love to be involved with, and although it has nearly broken a few people including JB, we plan to keep on coming back!

Malvern Hills Challenge

In 2021 we entered a team into the Malvern Hills Challenge to raise money for Help for Heroes. The challenge was to walk the 18km length of the Malvern Hills which was enjoyable for most of the team who regularly enjoy a walk in the Hills! Community Work

In the summer of 2022 a group of volunteers in our Head Office’s local village of Hanley Swan, Worcestershire, decided it was time to dredge the pond of its sediment which had accumulated over many years. We supplied fast-tanks for temporary storage of fish, pumps for dewatering the pond, fencing, trackmats and Geodams to help with the dewatering process.

The community really pulled together on this project and around 600 fish, including some rather large eels, were relocated during the process. Following the exercise we monitored the water quality of the pond to establish long-term trends in water quality indicators
