The Benefits of Sustainable Remediation

Sustainable remediation evaluation must include assessment of the potential impacts to all three integrated dimensions of the triple bottom line (TBL): environment, society, and economy.

Environment – At Oracle Environmental Experts, we pride ourselves on having a positive impact on the environment through our sustainable approach to remediation. We are committed to environmental goals by reducing emissions, limiting waste creation, and disposal. We achieve this through careful assessment of remediation requirements and application and use of our sustainable remediation solutions.

Society – For every remediation scheme that we implement, we assess the potential impacts of our work on society during and on completion of our remediation schemes. This ensures that we minimise negative effects on society, with our goal being that our remediation schemes have a positive and lasting impact.

Economy – Our approach to remedial options assessment also takes into account an assessment of costs. This includes costs of the remediation works themselves but often also includes an assessment of the local economic impact of remediation work. With respect to our sustainable remediation solutions, we are constantly developing and innovating new remediation solutions to ensure that we provide an efficient and cost-effective service for our clients, for example, through using equipment that requires lower energy input, less maintenance and maximum durability.

Hot-Spot Remediation Case Study

Case Study - In-situ remediation using ISS/ISCO saves thousands.

Oracle Environmental Experts were asked to provide a remedial options assessment (ROA) for a section of a former gasworks site that was being redeveloped for housing.

This case study details how we treated the coal tar contaminated materials in situ under our mobile plant permit at a quarter of the price of disposal of the contaminated material.
